Day one of the Billabong Pro in Spain started today with a bit of a bummer.  The event which is typicaly held at Mundaka was moved to Bakio, a beachbreak just around the bend from the famous left hand point break.   Apparently conditions at Mundaka weren’t up to par for the first day of competition.  Meanwhile, guys like current World Championship Tour leader Mick Fanning and 8X World Champ Kelly Slater had what it takes to make it through round one in the dismal surf at Bakio.  For up to date info. and the live webcast of the event…go to www.aspworldtour.com
