Something funky is going on in Dana Point- the Orange County Health Department at 9 p.m. Thursday sent out an alert for high bacteria counts in these areas:
- From Salt Creek to 300 feet downcoast of Salt Creek
- “M” dock in the Dana Point harbor
- 300 feet between lifeguard tower #8 and #9 at Doheny State Beach.
The County tests these areas five days a week. When the levels come up high, the beaches stay open but they advice people to not swim or surf in the water.
We’ll let you know when it all gets cleared up.
