Aliso County Beach has been opened back up to the public after a sewage spill caused a portion of the coast to close on Friday.
The Orange County Health Department sent out the update at 1:25 p.m. today.
The beach was closed through the weekend from 300 feet upcoast and 300 feet downcoast of Aliso Creek.
The sewage spill — about 1,000 gallons – was caused by a restaurant in Lake Forest.
Samples taken at the location came back clean Saturday and Sunday.
The following locations are still posted due to high bacteria counts. While the beaches are open, officials advise swimmers and surfers to stay out of the water.
Huntington State Beach:
- 150 feet upcoast to 150 feet downcoast of Magnolia street
Dana Point:
- West end of Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor
San Clemente:
- 150 feet upcoast to 150 downcoast Poche Creek at Poche Beach.
